The List (College of Charleston, #1) by Kate L. Mary

The List. Twenty things every girl must do before she turns twenty. . .

Body piercing
Get drunk
First kiss

But thanks to her crazy, over-protective father, Annie Roth is way behind schedule. Good thing it’s her first semester of college, because Annie is more than ready to start checking off items. . .

Fake ID
Skinny dipping
Road trip!!!

Where it gets complicated? Ryan and Chris. Best friends. Both sweet, funny, totally hot, and totally into Annie.

But there are some things on The List that Annie only wants to do with Ryan. . .

Lose it
Get Heart Broken
Fall in love

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

"If I could have one wish, I'd wish for you."

Annie Roth is finally a college student and she's away from her very strict father, from a secluded life and ready to explore her life under a new prospective. She no longer gets controlled, she no longer has to obey to his rules and she only wants to find out her true self.

After a tragedy had hit her family, Annie had stayed under her father's wings for 19 years and until now she was being dressed by him, watching football and acting like one of the guys. Being suffocated by her father and her four brothers, Annie hadn't explored her feminine side and neither what she truly liked to do away from them. Now she's finally away and along with her new roomate, Cami they make a list for Annie to complete before she turns 20.

Annie finally lets loose and she meets new people, makes new friends and amonsgt them two guys make her feel complicated. She sets her eyes on Ryan and Chris. The worst? They set theirs on her too. Even worst? They are best friends.

This was a book that really troubled me while reading it. The feeling didn't go away when I finished the book, sadly it simply intensified. I wasn't a fan of how things ended and that affected my rating.

I love this author's writing and this was one of the reasons that I was excited when I saw this new book. I trusted her and I picked it up immediately. Sadly, I can't rate this higher. I understood that the heroine wanted a more loose life, but I thought that she wasn't fair to Chris. Yes, she was clear with him, but her actions made me mad. Especially at the club.

I was really frustrated pretty much with everyone, especially after I finished the book. I thought that it was unfair because the whole mess that was going on during the book, never got solved, in my opinion. They were playing cat and mouse and for what? (view spoiler) I just felt like the story didn't end, I didn't get the closure I needed and that lack really left me unsatisfied.

Other than that, I enjoyed the writing and I will be reading the rest of the series. Really loved Liam and Cami as characters so I can't wait to read about this british lad.
