Once again I enjoyed the Spearwood Academy series! I swear this is getting better and better. Every volume better than the previous one.
This one had many twists & I kept being surprised with the new facts that we faced in this one. It was like surprise upon surprise.I love this. The fact that it's not predictable, is something that I trully appreciate when it comes to the author's writing. SPOILER WARNING: [ The only thing that I said 'I knew it!' was the fact that Edgar was actually murdered and he hadn't died naturally. I had suspected that when that guy said that the academy was there, picking up things. Plus Roseman's manipulation exactly after that, it couldn't be coincidence. ]
I love the fact that we're getting to know about old connections & relationships, things we had no idea about in the previous books. I also loved the many layers of Avalon.
I still can't pick a favorite spearwood boy, but I think I can safely say that I ship Avalon with Kearn.
He bows to me again. Before he rises back up, he grabs my hand in a gentle grip. My heart does a flip, when his warm lips press into my skin. A visible shiver runs down my spine and I bite my lip. “Stay safe, Avalon,” he whispers.
I don't know though, maybe because he's not around as much as the others, he doesn't feel very close to my heart, like the other boys & I wouldn't mind someone else for her. OR more scenes with Kearn , please! I love how her relationship with the brothers developed. And oh-my-god... What an ending!! Every time we face a cliffhanger & I'm feeling impatient to reading the next Volume. Ugh, now I guess we have to wait.
