This break happens to be one sexy immortal, the type of man Acelynn can't let herself fall for. He's full of hope, a light shining brightly, and all Acelynn knows is darkness. Acelyn is a young girl who made a deal with Satan in order to save her sister's soul. She needed to find his son and kill him or marry him and become Satan's wife. Acelyn decided to kill his son, who happened to be Cain and had been wandering on the earth since God's punishment for killing his brother, Abel.
Through her journey we meet different kinds of creatures, such as demons, vampires, werewolves, unicorns etc. We find out more about Acelyn's past and also her quest. She meets people willing to help her. She also meets Abel, Cain's brother.. Acelyn seems determined to save her sister's soul and we keep watching her journey as she tries to find clues that will lead her to Cain and eventually to the end of her quest.
This was a really good book. I loved the biblical references. The history of Acelyn's ancestors, the background of how she grew built trully her character. I didn't like the insta-love sadly, I usually don't really like it. It was cute, but somehow it seemed too soon, too fast and I'd rather read a slow building relationship between them.
I'm looking forward to read how this story will evolve, after that cliffhanger at the end. I would recommend this one to anyone who enjoys paranormal books.
