Baking with a Rockstar by Jasmin Miller **ARC REVIEW**
When a rockstar and a single mom become roommates, delicious sparks are bound to fly.
Rockstar Hudson Mitchell is over the glitz and spotlight of the music industry. Desperate for a break from the fast-paced life of fame, he retreats to the one place that has always been home.
Brooksville, California.
It's the same place where Charlie has taken refuge, trying to build a life for herself and her young daughter. The quiet, small-town atmosphere and her new bakery venture are exactly what she needs to pick up the pieces of her shattered past.
As they spend more time together, neither of them is prepared for the effect Charlie has on Hudson, and how important she would become for his career.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Charlie is staying with Hannah, an old lady who helps her open her bakery. She's taking care of her sweet little baby, Mira, who's definitely stealing hearts.
One day she meets Hudson , the famous rockstar who's back in his hometown in need to stay away from all the publicity and lay low for a little while. Hudson is also willing to help Charlie in any way possible and the three of them (baby Mira included) grow closer.
As soon as I read the synopsis of this book, I knew I wanted to read it!! Single mom meets rockstar? Hell yeah! But this book was nothing like I expected. I kept waiting to see stereotypical things you usually see in romance books, but nope. Let's not talk about the cliche I waited to see, but never did. And this is EXCELLENT! I honestly mean it, that you hear rockstar and expect to see the brooding, flirty, guy who curses and has addictions, many girls on their sleeves, but Hudson was NOTHING like that! Such a fresh breath of the interpretation of this meaning. There are more I'd like to point out , but I surely don't want to spoil.
Seeing them together like this has become an almost daily occurence, making it nearly impossible to imagine a life without any of it.
So, do yourselves a favor and grab this book and read it! Especially if you love babies and single parent books! It's so adorable and even though at first it felt like an insta love, it was a slow burn and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
